It all started at the Naval Cadet Engineering College in Saint Petersburg, Russia as an extra curriculum work "Formula of Algorithm" published by Benjamin Shapiro.

In this picture Ben is on the left. On the right is his friend Yuri Samarin, whose contact information Ben would appreciate, if anyone has it.
Ben is one of the founders of TSI, its CEO, and serves on its Board of Directors.
Like other great companies TSI had its garage.
This is a picture of the engine of Roman's car - the first Engine Ben and Roman fixed together as soon as Roman joined Ben in the US. After taking it apart and reassembling, this picture marks the moment the Engine started, the very first try:

Next was the SUM Analytical Engine. That took a bit longer.
Roman Shapiro, joined Ben in his work as soon as he landed in US. Roman is VP of Product Engineering, a founding member of TSI, and a member of its Board of Directors.
We also have our own Steve, Steve Palmer (not to be confused with Steve Ballmer, we like our Steve more). Steven joined TSI in 1995 as its first investor. Steven is the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors.
